So I am looking to extend my opening repertoire, from knowledge of standard openings (the first moves of the Nadjorf and that's it or The Ruy Lopez first three moves that's it lol) to some more complicated lines of recommended openings. I am a passive black player because I enjoy the Modern Defense, and usually successful as white, When I play anything else other than the Modern as black, it becomes unclear as 1,068,050 times 567.6875739. Sicilian has even more aggressive versions - Kalashnikov var. In general, if you're an agressive player, you should play 1.e4, and as Black: Sicilian (I recommend Najdorf or Classical) and Grunfeld. Besides, I guess you mean the most aggressive that's not dubious, yes? because there are the quality stuff, and by declining order there are worse and worse things down to the worst gambits, so it really depends - the most aggressive for White after 1.e4, e5, is the Scholar's Mate - attack - you have a bishop, you have a queen - fire! The Quality stuff is, the Sicilian Defense, either the Najdorf, Sveshnikov, or Classical variations. The second part of your question, I didn't understand: "and defensive as black?"Īnd what do you mean by 'most aggressive'? leading to tactical opportunities?
